6. How to Download the Final File (PDF, PNG, JPG, etc.)
After editing, click “Share” and then “Download.” Choose your desired file format: PDF for printing, PNG or JPG for social media. Make sure to select the right pages or "All Pages" depending on your need. Then click download, and you’re ready to print or post.
7. How to Use Frames & Grids
Frames and grids are perfect for structured layouts. Go to "Elements" and search "Frames" or "Grids." Drag your choice into the canvas. Then drop an image inside, and it will auto-fit. This works wonderfully for photo-heavy designs like lookbooks, programs, and memory books.
8. How to Copy, Paste, or Lock Elements
For faster design, use shortcuts: Ctrl+C (Cmd+C) to copy and Ctrl+V (Cmd+V) to paste. To lock an element in place, right-click and choose "Lock." This prevents you from accidentally moving it while editing other items. It’s great for consistent headers, logos, or watermarks.
9. How to Use Canva’s Brand Kit or Upload Fonts
If you have a Canva Pro account, go to "Brand Hub" to upload your brand fonts and colors. Once uploaded, they will appear in your design toolkit. This is essential for business owners who want everything from flyers to forms to stay consistent.
10. How to Access and Edit Shared Canva Templates
When you purchase a digital template, you'll receive a Canva share link. Click it, then press "Use Template." It will copy the file into your Canva account where you can start editing immediately. Always save your edits under a new name to preserve the original for future use.
